Welcome
Yamaha FJR1300AE
Welcome to my FJR1300 website. I decided to put one together, even though there are numerous other forums out there, first to kill time. My FJR is on its way from Texas (as of August 1, 2010) and I must now wait about two weeks for its arrival. During that time I plan on researching everything I can on the bike, acquire a few farkles, and generally try not to spend my days staring longingly into my driveway for the tractor trailer to arrive. That is the main reason for this site.
The second reason for the site was to provide myself, and possible others that stop by, an overview of the farkels I add along with the maintenance and tech issues for the FJR. I have found TONS of information about the bike online, but really wanted to put it all in one place. This site is then dedicated to my journey with my newest motorcycle and allows me to track the adventure. Throughout the site you can find reviews of items I use (riding gear, etc.), things I added to the bike (farkles), and maintenance procedures/tech issues.
The third reason I alluded to a little bit above - the journey. Motorcycling is all about getting out there and riding. I wanted a place where I could track my rides, upload maps and pictures, and generally use these pages as an electronic scrapbook of my FJR. I hope you can find something interesting on these pages.
Ride Safe.
